I met Artie Mitchell in 1987 when I visited the Mitchell Brothers live sex shows in their O'Farrell theater. To be honest, Artie seemed like an intelligent guy. It wasn't until 1975 when the Mitchells won a lawsuit for copyright infringement and started to make money off the film. All films after 1975 started to show the FBI warning at the start of a porn film. Up until then, porn was not protected by copyright laws. However by that time, the damage had been done. It grossed over 25 Million dollars. The Mitchell's may of seen a third of that revenue.
